Many clients struggle with long term weight-loss. However, hypnosis is one of the most natural and powerful ways to lose weight. Losing weight and keeping it off are much easier than you probably think! The healthiest way to lose weight is steadily over a period of time, and hypnosis can help achieve this.

Most people, when they look back at their weight loss history, find that over time they are actually putting weight on, and hypnotherapy will help with weight-loss and weight management:

  • It can help you develop a new self-image, creating a new image with you for the future - after losing weight - and making that your desired outcome.
  • It will help you to be relaxed about weight loss and weight management. Stress, boredom, and frustration are often a major factor in bad diet and comfort eating.

Once the source of the unwanted eating habit is established and healed, you start to feel better about yourself and this already changes your unwanted habits. New Habits

Diets can sometimes be useful for losing a few pounds quickly for a special occasion but to maintain a healthy weight in the long term, you need to be thinking differently. You need to be developing new habits and breaking down old associations – and the easiest way to do this is to build new positive associations by undergoing a course of hypnotherapy and re-programming your mind.


Hypnosis and hypnotherapy work on a subconscious level to help you achieve a state of mind where you lose weight willingly, and naturally. It empowers you to achieve your goal without self-sabotage. Journal of Clinical Psychology, 41 (1), 35-41 - “ Effectiveness of hypnosis as an adjunct to behavioural weight management”.

109 participants, aged between 17-67 years old, completed a behavioural treatment for weight management either with or without the addition of hypnosis. Results show that, at the end of the 9-week program, both interventions resulted in significant weight reduction. However, at 8-month and 2-year follow-ups, the hypnosis subjects showed significant additional weight loss, while those in the only-treatment-only group exhibited little further change. More subjects who used hypnosis also achieved and maintained their personal weight goals. { Bolocofsky, David N.; Spinler, Dwayne; Coulthard-Morris, Linda (1985)}
